In SIALICO, we want to make successful your food and cosmetics exports, offering the FDA Bioterrorism Registration service (for foreign or domestic establishments), according to the regulations in force by this agency.
The Bioterrorism Act of the United States requires that all companies that send products for consumption to the United States have an establishment registration and a reliable US Agent before FDA. A poorly done registration or erroneous selection of your US Agent can incur severe penalties, including fines and criminal sanctions. Additionally, the entry and sale of your product in US territory can be prohibited by FDA.
All companies that pretend to export human food to the United States require this registration, with the exception of those facilities that are governed by the regulations of the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture), as is the case of meat processors.
SIALICO offers you a business address within the United States as required by FDA regulations, to act as an authorized representative of your company. We also accept all calls, emails and written communications from the FDA regarding your company. We will transmit the information in your language, quickly and accurately to your company, so you can be sure that your exports go in a timely manner, covering all the non-duty sanitary requirements that your product requires.
The FDA requires the registration of facilities from commercial processors who manufacture, process, or pack acidified foods (AF) and/or thermally processed low-acid foods packaged in hermetically sealed containers (historically referred to as “low-acid canned foods” or “LACF”); and persons who are representatives authorized to act on behalf of such commercial processors. If you are not sure that your product falls into this category, we will gladly determine it for you. We offer you the registration of your establishment so that your products do not have any problem to enter the United States. Likewise, each product associated with an FCE, requires a Process Filing (SID Number), which in SIALICO we elaborate according to the processing conditions of your products.
Associated to the Food Canning Establishment (FCE) registration, there are the SID numbers for each product and its presentation to be exported. These numbers are required at the US entry, and they guaranty that your product has been safety processed for its consumption in this country. Do not worry about it, we take charge of your process registration, if you produce or sell preserves, canned, processed, drinks, etc., so that your product covers all non-duty requirements to enter the US market.
The Food and Drug Administration is not the only agency that establishes conditions for the entry and sale of its products in the United States. There are also certain regulations on each State of the American Union, as well as other special permits or audits required depending on the nature of their product. At SIALICO, we have a close relationship with these agencies and with the Health Departments of each State, guaranteeing 100% compliance with the conditions and procedures that your product requires.
